The Local Interagency Council on Early Intervention (L.I.C.) brings together those who are interested in Early Intervention (E.I.) including families who have or have had children in E.I. programs, providers, and others who want to ensure that all eligible children and families are identified and fully served by a quality system of E.I. direct and support services which will meet their needs.

Total family fees for early intervention services will be no more than $100.00 per year, per child.
The L.I.C. carries out the following activities:

Child Find- To seek out and identify children birth to five, and their families, with developmental delays or disabilities and refer to them to the regional point of intake for E.I. (the Child and Family Connections). E.I. services would include:

    Assistive technology devices and services
    Audiology
    Family training, counseling, and home visits
    Health Services
    Medical diagnostic services
    Nursing services
    Nutrition services
    Occupational therapy
    Physical therapy
    Psychological services
    Service coordination
    Social work services
    Special Instruction
    Speech/Language pathology
    Transportation to Services
    Vision services

Public Awareness- To make information available to the community and possible referral sources about:

    Child Development
    Early Intervention services and how to obtain them
    Child and Family Connections and the Local Interagency Council

Provider Recruitment -To identify possible providers and assist them in the required credentialing and enrollment process, thereby ensuring that families have a choice of qualified persons from whom to obtain services.
